AEA provided Final Design and made a PS&E submission for a resurfacing and ADA improvements project that involves 15 lane miles of resurfacing and related work. Traffic exceeds 100,000 vehicles per day. Construction work will include overnight precast full depth concrete pavement repair to minimize traffic impacts, and a 1 inch High Performance Thin Overlay (HPTO). Design work also included ADA curb ramps, traffic striping, highway lighting, detour signing, maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT), MASH standard guide rail design, and utility coordination. Environmental permits were obtained due to the measured Disturbance impacts. Performed site investigations, verified existing conditions, identified conflicts with existing features due to the proposed improvement, prepared construction cost estimate, schedule and specifications. Project scheduled to be advertised in September 2018 and Constructed in 2019.
