As sub-consultant to Gannett Fleming, Inc., AEA is providing engineering services to the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) for designing Electrical, Lighting, Low Voltage, and Fire Alarm system for the demolition, rehabilitation, and new construction facilities located at PNC Bank Arts Center. Design includes improvements to areas including, but not limited to, the amphitheater, bathrooms, concession buildings, plaza buildings, Live Nation office building, lawn seating area, and campus wide facility. Electrical design includes modification of existing electric services, sizing transformers, switchgear, panelboards, preparing single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, construction plans, lighting layout plans, conduit and wiring schedules, panelboard schedules, luminaire schedules, specifications, and construction cost estimate. The design is in accordance to building codes and NEC. AEA prepared voltage drop calculations, determined conduit sized and routing, determining cable sizes, over current protection devices, transformers, and electrical load calculations. AEA performed utility coordination to modify existing electrical services and to obtain a dedicated new electric service for a proposed fire pump. The fire pump will also have a dedicated emergency diesel generator. AEA coordinated with architect, civil, HVAC, and plumbing disciplines as required. The electrical design is performed in accordance NJTA design standards, National Electrical Code, and other applicable industry standards to meet the NJTA and DCA requirements. AEA is using both Autodesk® Revit and Bentley MicroStationTM to produce drawings.
