Advantage Engineering Associates, PC is seeking a Department Manager for our Electrical Engineering group specializing in Facility Design to become part of our MEP and Communications Design Group. This position will be based out of our New York City office, which offers a hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate will be capable of supporting and leading the design and development of electrical design projects for transportation and transit facilities.
Experience working with agencies like PANYNJ and MTA is preferred.
Requirements:
- Experience with building power systems design
- Experience with fire alarm design
- Demonstrate proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD, Proficiency in Revit is preferred
- Strong knowledge of National Electrical Code and Fire Alarm codes
- Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks under strict schedule constraints
- The ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Ability to perform research to resolve engineering and design issues, evaluate alternatives, and make sound recommendations
- Knowledge of MTA and PANYNJ standards is preferred
Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience with design of transportation facilities
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (from an ABET accredited school required)
- PE license is preferred

Salary
The salary range for a Department Manager, Electrical Engineer (NY) is $200,000 – $250,000. Compensation will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
